Children have been dragging their feet to school. But the ironic part is that the best education happens in play.
How can we make the classrooms the most interesting places instead of the most boring places for students?
‘By turning them into Gaming zones’ shouts my 6 yr old girl. And I hear her, can we make our classes as interesting as the games that they play?
For sure we can by implementing the coaching strategies like role plays, audio-visual aids, and stories, and letting them question & get excited about connecting the dots instead of rote teaching which doesn't work.
We just need ways to follow the wise man who reiterated that ‘Mind is a fire to be ignited and not a vessel to be filled' so that the students are so excited about learning that they begin to search & reach for the answers. Because what students remember after school is their real education & students hardly know why they are learning, what they are learning & how to implement what they are learning & education should fill that gap.
Most postgraduates nowadays are searching for jobs with no clear career path defined for them.
Neither do they work on their mindset, attitudes, or communication skills as they are totally focused on just getting a job without thinking ahead, if they can even keep it or not & what are the best strategies to adopt for landing a job.
Job search is more like a project but first, they need to ensure that they are starting on the right project because prioritizing passion over prospects might be something that you could experiment with before it's too late.
Children have a lot of time on hand and it's elders' responsibility to teach them to use their time wisely failing which they might get into many addictions.
Every Saturday children could be taught to volunteer in whatever way they could so that they could be of help to the society and they could contribute which will give them encouragement and also a sense of pride of Contribution.
It also helps them know that there are many less privileged members of society & they can make others' lives better in their own little way.
